Certified by the Feed Real Institute — San Diego
Meet Ivory, a San Diego-based Certified Canine Nutritionist through the Feed Real Institute. After 3 years fresh feeding her own dogs, she helps pet parents feed fresh with confidence.
Personal Story
I've been fresh feeding my own dogs for three years now — and for a long time before that, I was playing the same guessing game most pet parents are stuck in. About three years ago, a lightbulb went off: kibble wasn't the way I wanted to feed my fur babies, and I wanted to give them the healthiest life I possibly could. Just like us, I believe the root of health starts with nutrition.
Credential/ Credibility
As my own fresh feeding journey progressed, I decided to take it more seriously — so I spent a full year studying and became a Certified Canine Nutritionist through the Feed Real Institute. That means the plans and guidance I give you aren't pieced together from forums and best guesses. They're built on real canine nutrition science, tailored to your dog's breed, age, weight, and health needs.
Mission
I started Home Sweet Dog to make fresh feeding approachable for everyday dog owners — not a rigid protocol, but a rhythm you can actually keep. And because I believe the way we feed our dogs is connected to the way we live with them, that same care extends into the home itself: enrichment, calm spaces, and a slower, more intentional way of sharing your life with your dog.
Community Involvement
Outside of Home Sweet Dog, I stay active in my community with local dog organizations, and I love helping neighbors out with dog walking whenever I can. Being around dogs — mine and everyone else's — never feels like enough.
